Over 400 people took a leap into natural health on leap day, February 29, at the Carbondale Civic Center for the 4th Annual Women's Health Naturally! Expo and Workshops. This marked the biggest turnout for the event so far. Event organizers, Dayempur Herbals and the Dayemi Health Services, saw their vision of creating a nurturing, dynamic environment come true.
"We are ecstatic that so many people came together to learn about the natural health practitioners, products and resources that are available in the Southern Illinois region. Having a natural health event of this magnitude normalizes natural health and makes it more accessible for everyone," shared Terry Hickey, the Women's Health Naturally! (WHN!) Director.
People from all over the region lined up early to get into the WHN! Expo, which ran from 10am-4pm. The expo was filled with over 60 natural health professionals as vendors, ten educational workshops, an organic lunch catered by Town Square Market, dozens of door prizes, a closing Nia Dance movement, and so much more.
Vendors provided opportunities for people to learn about nutrition, functional medicine, essential oils, herbal remedies, acupuncture, midwifery, thermography, etc. The workshop speakers gave in-depth presentations on a variety of natural health topics such as how stress affects DNA, coping with childhood grief and living a low carbon lifestyle.
The Women's Health Naturally! Expo team would like to thank the vendors, the 14 event sponsors, volunteers, and all who attended!
