Construction of a new water main along Sycamore Street, from Rural King rear entrance to Oakland Avenue has begun. On Thursday, February 20, 2020, Sycamore Street will be closed for water main construction from McKinley Street to Billy Bryan Street. This closure is expected to last two to three days, however, the road will be open during the evening hours when workers are not present.
Due to this construction motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and use caution while traveling in and through this area. Access to private drives will be maintained throughout the construction process; however there will be short periods of time where access may be delayed or prohibited. Water customers in the area should expect minor service interruptions during construction.
Construction work is scheduled to be between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.
The City apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciates your patience, understanding and cooperation as we work to bring better water service to our customers.
