• Centerstone receives $3000 grant from Corning Incorporated Foundation

    December 26, 2019
Centerstone, a national leader in behavioral health care, today announced it has received a $3,000 grant from Corning Incorporated Foundation.

Funds from this grant award will be used to support individuals and families on their collective journeys to long-term recovery from substance use. Clients are already able to come to Centerstone for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT); now, children who accompany their parents will be able to feel supported as well.

“Centerstone has always worked to strengthen families with its services, and it is essential that Centerstone be able to provide supports that range from age-appropriate toys and books for young children in the waiting room, changing table attachments in the restroom, educational materials for families to discuss substance use for prevention, parenting materials, etc.,” said Mona Miller, Clinical Coordinator at the Centerstone MAT clinic.

Corning Foundation recognizes that when trauma impacts individuals, the whole family is affected.  With this grant, Centerstone will show that dedication to the family unit, not just the individual experiencing substance-use disorder, makes sure that our clients have the tools and support that set them up for success.
