    January 14, 2019
AES Solar announced today the Spring 2019 schedule for “Solar Knowledge-Hands-On Intermediate,” to be hosted at the AES Solar Education Center located at 1804 Supply Road in Carterville. The class is organized through John A. Logan College, and will be taught by AES Solar Founder and Chief Tech Aur Beck.
Students will be required to attend each consecutive session of the class, to be held on second Saturdays, January through April. The class will culminate on May 11th with the hands-on installation of a solar power system at a Habitat for Humanity house in Carbondale, performed by John A. Logan students and AES Solar staff. Local media is encouraged to attend.
“After 19 years of installing solar, I’m excited to see more professional installers coming to the area,” says Beck. The class will be a practical, hands-on, show-and-tell in the installation of roof racks, solar modules, and inverters. Students who successfully complete the course will be prepared to converse with solar contractors.
