    A Christmas Carol will play at The Varsity Center in Carbondale, Illinois, on November 29th - December 1st & December 5th-8th, 2019.  Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m.  Sunday matinees begin at 2:00 p.m.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets are only $7 on Thursday, December 5th.  The box office will be open from 5-7 p.m. November 25th-27th & 29th-30th and at 1 p.m. on December 1st.  The box office will again be open from 5-7 p.m. December 4th-7th and at 1 p.m. December 8th.  You can also call (618) 549-5466 to purchase tickets or buy tickets any time by visiting https://stagecompany.org/

    Shay Miller is a Southern Illinois transplant. After relocating in 2009, she found a home in the Stage Company. Shay has most often been on the stage in various productions but has directed and assistant directed shows in the past.  This is Shay’s third time being involved with this famous tale of Ebenezor Scrooge. Shay has performed in the classic version and assistant directed Jacob Marley’s A Christmas Carol with the late Mary Boyle.

    Shay and her family are actively involved in various theater programs in Southern Illinois. Her children, Natasha and Spencer have both appeared on stage, but her wife Mona says she will only help backstage. Shay lives in Cambria with her family and her rescue cats and dog. Shay is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and owns her own photography business as well. Shay would like to thank her family for being kind when they were “voluntold” to help with certain parts of this production.
