About the Chamber

Welcome to the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce website, www.carbondalechamber.com! It is our desire that on each page you discover reasons why Carbondale, Illinois is a great place to live, work, visit, play and invest! The purpose of the Chamber is to upgrade the socio-economic level of the Carbondale area and the people living here. Here at the Chamber, we promote new and existing business and support entrepreneurial efforts and economic development in the Carbondale region.

There are 450 plus members of the Chamber with businesses of varying sizes. We are honored to be here in Saluki Country, home of Southern Illinois University. Located in the historic old train depot in downtown Carbondale, the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce is a resource and hub of information for tourists, residents, those relocating to the area, and more. The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) with membership available to any business firm, individual, association, corporation, partnership, organization, professional or estate having an interest in the objectives of the Chamber by paying dues. Revenues of the Chamber are derived strictly from membership dues.
