An archery turkey and deer hunt for people with disabilities will also be held at Touch if Nature, November 9-11. This hunt is cosponsored by the National Wild Turkey Federation and Illinois Wheelin Sportsmen.
SIU’s Touch of Nature offers three opportunities for persons with disabilities to hunt deer on its 3,100 acres during the month of November. These annual programs allow hunters with various disabilities the opportunity to hunt and share camaraderie. Every hunter will have a partner to assist with whatever needs they may have. Hunters must have all current hunting permits and licenses, and otherwise follow federal and state guidelines.
