Touch of Nature's annual Maple Syrup Festival and Pancake Breakfast will be held from 9am-3pm Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23-24. The event will feature vendors, activities for all ages, and of course pancakes and homemade maple syrup.
A host of activities offer those in attendance a chance to learn more about the food they are eating and learn about new and old trades from skilled craftsmen. Maple syrup demonstrations, and outdoor environmental education activities and interpretive hikes will be held throughout both days. There will also be children’s activities each day.
Registration for the pancake breakfast is now open and tickets are available for purchase at ton.siu.edu
The breakfast, featuring homemade pancakes and maple syrup harvested at Touch of Nature, will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets purchased in advance are $12 for ages 13 and older and $6 for ages 6-12. Children 5 and under eat for free. Tickets may be purchased online to receive the discounted rate prior to the Festival.
