We want all our artists, staff and patrons to be safe. Among our safety protocols are:
—Concert attendance will be limited to 24 to 50, depending upon the venue, with advance reservation only.
—All staff, artists and audience members must wear masks while in attendance. The only exception is our wind players while performing.
—Audience members not part of the same household will be seated at least 6 feet apart.
—All artists will perform at least 6 feet apart.
—Staff, artists and patrons will be pre-screened with a temperature check and a series of questions before attending/participating in the Festival.
—Staggered entry times will be provided to patrons when reservations are confirmed, to ensure social distancing.
—Tickets are $20 general and $10 for students of any age. Concert admission is by check or cash in the exact amount. Attendance is by advance reservation only. Call, email or text (benyas@siu.edu; 312-560-2094) to make a reservation (up to two days before each concert) and indicate sate(s) of attendance and number in your party. We will indicate on social media and on our website when concerts have reached capacity. Since audience size and thus ticket revenue will be significantly reduced, any additional contributions to support the Southern Illinois Music Festival would be much appreciated, by check payable to the SIU Foundation sent to Edward Benyas at the SIU School of Music.
